Inducted into the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame in 2012, Ravel and Steffen Peters took the dressage world by storm, with career highlights including winning the 2009 Rolex FEI World Cup Dressage Final, sweeping all three Grand Prix classes at the 2009 CDIO Aachen, representing the USA in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, and winning two individual bronze medals at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Ravel was also named Adequan/USDF Grand Prix Horse of the Year from 2009-2011, and 2009 USEF Farnam/Platform Horse of the Year.

Ravel retired from competition at a ceremony in April 2013.

As Steffen once said: “I always appreciate Ravel for what he is – and – that is, a horse of a lifetime.”
