In this extended footage of the 2017 Adequan®/USDF FEI-Level Trainers Conference, Hans-Christian Matthiesen and Lilo Fore work with Dana Fiore and So Special on techniques to keep the horse up in front of the rider if they have a tendency to lean into the hand or shorten and tighten the neck. Hans-Christian discusses how this can translate into the competition arena, and how riders can correct this mistake while giving the horse confidence. Lilo discusses the importance of not demanding too much of the horse, and how breaking up a line of lateral work can be beneficial.
