Volunteers: The Lifeblood of Our Sport

Volunteers are, without a doubt, the most overlooked group of participants within horse sports. Competitions would not be able to function without these hardworking, dedicated individuals, and USDF wants to take this opportunity to give the volunteers of the US Dressage Finals a resounding THANK YOU for all they do.

The tenth edition of the US Dressage Finals presented by Adequan® saw several of our volunteers earn certificates for five and ten years of participate in our penultimate event. Participating as ring stewards, crossing guards, gate managers, scribes and more, we could not be more thankful to these individuals who are so generous with their time, travelling from far and wide to help us ensure the competition goes off without a hitch.

This year’s 5 Year Volunteers were Bob Pettit, Elisabeth Williams, and Anne Sushko

This year’s 10 Year Volunteers were Lisa Gorretta, Steve Chen, Regina Lin, Diane Welling, and Vicky Esquivel. Longtime Volunteer Coordinator Kathy Grisolia was honored with a special presentation for her volunteering efforts, which you can read more about in our Recap from Saturday.
