USDF Congratulates 2025 NAYC Award Recipients and Honorees

The United States Dressage Federation™ (USDF) offers its sincerest congratulations to recipients of the following awards and special honors, presented during the FEI North American Youth Dressage Championships presented by USDF:

ALBERS AWARD

The Albers Award perpetual trophy was awarded to Region 5 Chef d’Equipe Joan Clay. The Albers Award is named in honor of long-time USDF Region 1 Chef d ‘Equipe, and supporter, Patsy Albers and is presented, annually, to the dressage chef d’équipe who best demonstrates the same level of dedication, enthusiasm, and team spirit shown by Patsy throughout the years.

BROOK IRVING-MARTZ AWARD

Region 2 Children rider, Grace Christianson of Noblesville, IN, and her eleven-year-old, American Warmblood mare, FHF Roulee, were awarded the inaugural Brook Irving-Martz “Pursuit of Excellence” Memorial Trophy. On permanent display in the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame, this trophy is awarded to the Children rider who earns the highest combined average score in the three dressage tests: FEI Children Preliminary B, Team, and Individual. Christianson placed first in the preliminary B, team, and individual tests, with scores of 75.679%, 78.642%, and 81.116 % respectively, securing the win with an overall combined average of 78.479%.


AMANDA JOHNSON AWARD

Region 3 Junior rider, Eila Fisk of Aiken, SC, and the nine-year-old, Oldenburg gelding, Quaresma, owned by Gina Fisk were awarded the Amanda Johnson “Pursuit of Excellence” Memorial Trophy. Also displayed in the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame, this trophy is awarded to the Junior rider who earns the highest combined average score in the three dressage tests: FEI Junior Team, Individual, and Freestyle. Eila Fisk placed first in the team competition, second in the individual competition, and first in her freestyle test, with scores of 68.606%, 68.235%, and 70.980% respectively, securing the win with an overall combined average of 69.237%.


FIONA BAAN AWARD

Region 4 Young Rider, Lexie Kment of Palmyra, NE, and Jami Kment’s fourteen-year-old, KWPN gelding, Gatino Van Hof Olympia were awarded the Fiona Baan “Pursuit of Excellence” Memorial Trophy. On permanent display in the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame, this trophy is awarded to the Young Rider who earns the highest combined average score in the three dressage tests: FEI Young Rider Team, Individual, and Freestyle. Kment placed first in the team and individual tests, and second in the freestyle test, with scores of 69.647%, 68.970%, and 73.325% respectively, securing the win with an overall combined average of 70.647%.

OTHER HONOREES

USDF Region 6 Young Rider Olivia Martz was awarded the 2025 Style Award and Region 4 Young Rider Lexie Kment received The Captain Andrew B. de Szinay Memorial Sportsman Trophy. NAYC volunteer Ruby Lewis, hailing from USDF Region 9, was awarded the Howard B. Simpson High Five Trophy. Additionally, U25 rider, Sophia Schults’ thirteen-year-old PRE mount, Conocido HGF, was recognized with this year’s HorsePower Trophy.


USDF congratulates these and all the competitors from this year’s event. The talent and sportsmanship displayed by all children, juniors and young riders participating in the event deserves to be recognized and celebrated and USDF is happy to shine a light on their successes.
