Horses & Healing
When I was introduced to Spring Ducatti - aka Duckie - he was for sale because he was a bit too much horse for the adult amateur that currently owned him, and he was very athletic and powerful. I was searching for my next horse, and I was told I should go out to try him. I was blown away by his beauty and his movement - and a bit intimidated by his strength and athleticism.
Regaining the Spark
Silver Wend (aka Neala) is a 2008 Irish Draught Sport Horse. I got her as my first horse seven years ago. She couldn’t have been a more perfect first horse for 11 year-old me. She loves to be around people, she's goofy and playful, and she is always willing to try everything I ask of her. Overall, she just has a heart of gold.
A Traditional Irish Mare
Dunton’s Irish Magnum is a 2007 Irish Draught Sport Horse. Her bloodlines are considered to be that of a traditional Irish horse. She is a mix of Irish Draught, Connemara pony, and Thoroughbred. A traditional bred horse is any combination of those three breeds, but with no warmblood influence in any way.

Discovering the New Forest Pony
I initially didn’t have a particular breed in mind. I just wanted something young to bring along myself, with gaits for dressage, and large enough to fit my 5’3 frame. I posted some inquiries on Facebook and received a message from Lesley Feakins at Trevelyan Farm, a New Forest Pony breeder, who had a 4-year-old for sale. Wishbone was a 14 hand bay gelding, who was cute as a button and had a great hind leg. I decided to take a leap of faith and bought him sight unseen.
