2025 was a very bad year for me. It started on January 2, I was notified that my job was going to be eliminated. On my last day of work I decided to go riding.

Eclipse doesn’t have any notable bloodlines or elite inspection results. But that hasn’t stopped him from blazing up the levels to Prix St. Georges. 

Partnering with Drafted has changed my entire perspective. I used to think I’d only ever take on a young OTTB. I never expected to get a ten-year-old war horse.

I don’t ride for anyone else anymore. I ride for the honor of riding my boy, and for the joy of it. If we had a great, fun ride, who cares about the score!

Once I brought her home, she became a little wild the more we got to know each other, and there were several moments where I wondered if I’d made a mistake.
