In 2024 I graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in English Literature. Unsure of what I wanted to do next, I decided to take a year off to figure it out.

Going from fox hunting—or rather, “chasing”—to dressage has been a big challenge. I now have “mad respect” for dressage riders.

Things have slowly gotten better, and after months of working with him in hand, I’m back in the saddle, and things look exciting!

When I look at horses, I see avenues for physical, mental, emotional, & community healing that extend far beyond what is typically offered in the therapy world.

While working in Florida for a week, I met Koda. I didn’t expect my kismet partner to be a two-and-a-half-year-old unraced Thoroughbred.

Many of my own values and beliefs about horses as a whole changed because Paska requires a steady, patient hand.

I bought Teddy, & I had big aspirations: riding him at Grand Prix, beach trips & trail rides… a long & beautiful journey where he’d be mine for years to come.
