The colder months may be gone, but now, the flies are here, and it’s our responsibility to be prepared to keep our horses comfortable.
We have at my barn a much beloved, occasionally maligned free range alpaca named Carl. He is a sophisticated and spoiled animal who lives his best life daily. He enjoys swimming on a hot day in his pool (a rubber horse tank) sleeping under trees, watching the horses in turnout and NOT being petted by anyone ever!
