Meet Emily Gill! She is USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, a 2017 Graduate of the University of Findlay, and a USDF Certified Instructor at Training – First Level.
How I got started in dressage: I was doing Hunter/Jumpers with my Morgan. I went to one Dressage clinic and I was hooked! I started taking more lessons and learning about the programs USDF offered and the rest is history.
I wanted to become certified because: It is extremely important to me to improve my knowledge and skills in this sport, to help myself, as well as others.
My horses: I own an incredible Morgan gelding named Kahlua, who I have been able to bring up the levels, with the support of my trainer Francesca Nicoletti, and the hopes of showing Grand Prix this coming show season.
Training tip: During this process I learned that every horse takes a different training route and that’s the beauty of this sport.
