5 Helpful Resources in the USDF Member Guide


The annual USDF Member Guide is mailed to all members in the fall of each year. You’ll frequently see folks roaming the show grounds leafing through one or find them around your local dressage barn.  So, what is in this booklet and what makes it such a great resource that you can reference over and over throughout the year? Here are 5 useful bits of knowledge included in each USDF Member Guide

  1. Complete Requirements for all USDF Award Programs.
    USDF offers a variety of awards programs for riders, breeders, and horses of all levels. Whether you are a Group Member and want to compete in the new USDF Regional Schooling Show Award Series, or are aiming for your USDF Rider Medals, you can find the requirements in the 2020 USDF Member Guide.

  3. Dressage Tests
    Included in the 2020 USDF Member Guide are USDF Introductory Level tests A-C, USEF Training Level through Fourth Level, all FEI tests (current as of print time, be sure to regularly monitor the FEI website for updated version of the tests), Young and Developing Horse Tests, FEI and USDF Freestyle Tests, and Sport Horse Scoresheets.
  4. USDF Office Contact Directory
    Whether you have a question about Horse Registration, L Education, the USDF Store, qualifying for the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships, what awards you are eligible for, or need to renew your membership, the Member Guide is a great starting point for who to contact.   5. Dates and Locations for the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships
    The dates and locations for the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships are decided well in advance, and if you’re planning to attend Regionals as a competitor, spectator, or volunteer, you’ll need to know where the one closest to you is!
