Sights from the Championships – Regions 2 and 8

Fall means Regional Championship time!  On September 17-20, the 2020 Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships kicked off in USDF Regions 2 and 8.  

Region 2

Held at Lamplight in Wayne, IL, the Region 2 Championships showcased riders that call Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, or Wisconsin home.  Here are some of the sights our social media followers shared with us from the show:

Region 8

In the New England area, the Region 8 Championships were also taking place the same weekend. HITS on the Hudson was the host for the event, held in Saugerties, NY and featuring riders from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. “Region 8’s regionals went great! Bid and I won third for the JR third level championships. Not even a point in between first and third. One judge had me scored the highest out of the whole class. It was such a great experience and a much needed confidence booster! It was ran beautifully and everyone wore their masks. I was over the moon that it wasn’t canceled. It was my first one in 6 years and I was very much looking forward to it!!” Submitted by Macenna Aadaya Furtado.
