In this extended footage of the 2016 Adequan®/USDF FEI-Level Trainers Conference, Johann Hinnemann works with JJ Tate and Kynynmont Gunsmoke’s Gideon to ensure that the poll is the highest point, that the horse is through in his movement, and that he is not too long in his frame. Johann discusses his mental checklist for developing and executing the half-pass, based on the rulebook’s description of the movement, and simplifies the half-pass into its fundamental components.
