Fall means Regional Championship time! The 2023 Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships are underway this year, with action from Regions 2, 7, and 8, kicking off the action. A huge thanks to our sponsors Great American Insurance Group, SmartPak, and Platinum Performance! Here are some of the sights our social media followers shared with us from the competitions:
Region 2 – Lamplight Equestrian Center; Wayne, IL – September 21 – 24, 2023
– Amanda B.Eden Larsen and her Tb mare Gold Glory, first time at Regionals, went to Region 2, didn’t place in the ribbons but adores her horse and so happy mare overcame some unexplained nerve damage to be sound and still athletic – Forrest Hill Farm & Kaiser Dressage4th in I-1 Freestyle AA Region 2- good boy Hampton who is my “Indiana Warmblood” – Karen T.“Post-ride treats” Region 2 Faith Kuster (12) and Blessings of a Legend – Dee Ann K.Tracey Haslitt and Primrose. I competed in Region 2 with my horse, Rumor Has It. He has some serious love for our coach, Kim! We wouldn’t have been there without her! “Rummy” has a very special place in my heart, and I’m so lucky his owners allow me to show him. First level Musical freestyle, 3rd – Robin M.-S.My horse Atticus and I attended our first USDF Region 8 championship. Where we placed 18th out of 43 at Training 3 and 9th in our dressage seat equitation! A miracle in itself after colic surgery. Watching her make sure she made it to each warm up for 7 different horse/rider combos between riding her own two horses. Breanna Lampen on Actions Night Rider, making their debut in training level at the Region 8 championships!
