My May Sylvester, overcoming years of health trouble, rallied yet again to win the USDF Region 2 Grand Prix and GP Freestyle. God bless him, he’s given me the greatest riding joy of my life. We traveled to Michigan to Waterloo Hunt Club as we grew up showing often there as kids.
The 16-year-old Autumn Vavrick claimed two winner’s sashes at the Region 2 show on One De La Fazenda (pictured), as well as nailing the scores needed for her USDF Gold Medal on her big tour horse, Dante. Photo by Diana Hadsall Photography
Jennifer Roth won two of her championship titles on the 12-year-old Royal DaVinci in the face of poor x-rays and a suspensory injury: “We’re just happy that we can keep ‘Humpty Dumpty’ together.” Photo by Diana Hadsall Photography
I have so many good photos, but this is one of my favorites!!! Getting to regionals and placing eighth out of 37 for first level was amazing!! To be able to do a victory lap for the 1st time was wonderful. I started riding Bee fully in February and with my trainer Nancy by my side, we’ve accomplished so much and more!! Can’t wait for Nationals!!
Region 5: September 18-21 at the Colorado Horse Park (Parker, CO)
