We are celebrating another American icon as our March Breed of the Month on YourDressage – the Phenomenal Paint Horse!
We recently asked our social media followers to share a photo of their favorite Paint or Paint cross and tell us a little about them for a chance to be featured on YourDressage! Check out some of their flashy partners!
We will also be looking for stories from folks who love these colorful horses, so send us an email at yourdressage@usdf.org to be featured in a future gallery, or to share your story! 💙❤️💛
Did you know… dressage riders who choose a member of this historic breed as their mounts are eligible for special awards through the Adequan®/USDF All-Breeds Awards program, as the Official American Paint Horse Association is a participating organization?

I bought her mom and had no idea she was pregnant until a month before Maisy was born. She was the absolutely most amazing horse(really pony 14.2) I’d ever had. She excelled in everything from eventing, hunter/jumper and dressage. I was there when she was born and sadly I was there when she died at 21. Two of my daughters got to ride and show this amazing mare. I thought she’d live well into her 30’s but she had colic surgery at 19 and was never the same.
