I discovered the sport of para dressage at age 11, when I searched the internet to see if there were riders with a disability out there, and to my pleasant surprise, there were. I watched riders like Rebecca Hart and Roxanne Trunnell give their all in the ring with their horses. I had waited 17 years for a chance to chase my dream after persistently asking my parents for lessons, and I was so excited.

Two time Paralympian Roxanne Trunnell, aboard Dolton, four-time Paralympian Rebecca Hart, with El Corona Texel, first-time Paralympian Kate Shoemaker, aboard Solitaer 40, and Beatrice de Lavalette aboard Clarc were there to represent the US and they all brought their A-games! 

Throughout the years, Lloyd served on the USDF Executive Board, USEF Dressage Committee, USEF Para Technical Committee and numerous other USEF and USDF committees. Lloyd was named 2002 USDF Volunteer of the Year, earned his USDF Bronze Medal, and was recognized nationally for his success in dressage sport horse breeding.
