Department:  Membership

Job title:  Horse Registration Coordinator

What is your main task in the office?

Anything involved with horses registered or to be registered with USDF and assisting our members.

Members may call you concerning:

Horse registrations, horse transfers, lease recordings, breed registry papers, memberships

How long have you been with USDF?

I started in March 2017, so almost two and a half years.

How did you get started?

My previous employment had been as an executive assistant, and I had owned a hobby farm raising and training quarter horses.  The position at USDF combined both my administrative skills and passion for horses.

What is the favorite part of your job?

It sounds hokey, but I really enjoy the customer service aspect of my job, as well as the fast pace.  I love representing USDF and problem solving for our members so that they can have a good experience with USDF and dressage.  I also enjoy the US Dressage Finals…I drive the hospitality cart and get to meet everyone and their horses (and dogs) in person.  I have learned a lot about the different breeds of horses that participate in dressage.

What is your favorite part of USDF?

The management at USDF really supports the staff.  I am very proud of my co-workers in the Membership Department and really enjoy working with them.  It is also great getting to work at the Kentucky Horse Park!

Share a little about yourself.

I live in downtown Lexington with my big hearted dog Gus.  I have five grown step-kids, the rest of my family is all in Virginia where I come from.  I have a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University.
