Editor’s note: Isabella departed USDF in September 2021.

Department: Education

Job title: Education Coordinator

What is your main task in the office?

I coordinate adult education and online education programs.

Members may call you concerning:

GMO Education Initiative, USDF University Program, and online education.

How long have you been with USDF?

2 years (March 2017).

How did you get started?

I started as an Education Department Assistant three months after graduating college.

What is the favorite part of your job?

My favorite part is awarding the GMO Education Initiative grants to GMOs. Seeing the GMOs have successful clinics that they weren’t able to host in the past is great.

What is your favorite part of USDF?

I love getting to work at the Kentucky Horse Park. I also have the best co-workers!

Share a little about yourself.

I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with my Bachelor’s of Science degree.  I started riding when I was 5 and grew up competing in the hunter/jumper world. I was also involved with 4-H and FFA. I switched disciplines to eventing when I started college. My OTTB mare, Bertie, and I successfully competed up to Training Level in eventing. Bertie still lives on my parents’ farm and we show small jumper shows and mini-trials for fun. Since starting at USDF, I married my husband, and we own two goofy dogs; a Lab and an English Mastiff.
