Meet Stephanie Staner! She is a USDF Certified Instructor at Training – First Level with a focus on starting young horses. She considers herself lucky to have amazing clients that give her the opportunity to train and show their horses.
How I got started in dressage: My passion for riding began 35 years ago as a young girl riding saddleseat. As a teenager I was introduced to eventing and dressage, fell in love with the sports, and never looked back.
I wanted to become certified because: I was encouraged to further my education and pursue becoming USDF certified by one of my clients and mentors, Anne Sushko.
What I learned during the process: The certification process began for me with numerous workshops that challenged me to become a better trainer and instructor. Each workshop taught me something new and pushed me to ask more of myself, my horses, and my students.
Training tip: I would recommend the Certified Instructor Program for anyone looking to elevate their own riding as well as that of their students.
