As the 1996 USDF National Symposium came to a close, Michael Poulin left us with some wise commentary on the Art of Dressage.
The 1996 USDF National Symposium featured clinicians Robert Dover, Michael Poulin, Hilda Gurney, and Jessica Ransenhousen. The videos from the 1996 and 1997 USDF National Symposiums were later combined to create the dvd The Lower Levels with Olympians, featuring techniques to develop and improve the horse through the levels, including how to maintain correct body alignment, when and how to use driving aids, bending aids, regulating aids, and how to govern your horse’s balance with your upper body.
The Lower Levels with Olympians is available for purchase through the USDF Online Store and the USDF Digital Video Library on Vimeo.

While the USDF National Symposium is no longer an annual event, USDF does host a number of annual conferences and educational events, including the Adequan® USDF FEI-Level Trainers Conference, the USDF Sport Horse Prospect Development Forum, Adequan®/USDF Annual Convention (going virtual this year!), the Young Rider Graduate Program, and many, many more.
