Meet the Photographer
Trying to capture a moment in time – the perfect photo of you and your horse – is a tricky thing (as any equestrian knows when they think they get a great shot of their horse on their cell phone, then look at it later and realize the horse is blurry from motion!). That’s why we leave it to the professionals at Susan J. Stickle Photography. As the official photographer of the US Dressage Finals, Susan J. Stickle and her team of specialists are all over the event grounds, ready to document your championship and capture that “wow” moment of you and your horse! Sue has more than 27 years experience shooting at national and international venues, and she specializes in photographing dressage. “This is one of our favorite shows of the year,” Sue says. “The show is so well run, well attended, and the atmosphere is always festive. The camaraderie between the best horses and riders from around the country is a pleasure to witness. We love being a part of it, and being able to capture all these special moments for the competitors.”
Meet the Videographer
There is nothing like getting to watch your championship ride with your horse, and Richard’s Equine Video, with 13 years experience and the official event videographer of the US Dressage Finals, is ringside at the event to capture every moment! The man behind the lens, Richard Taylor, is a long-time dressage enthusiast and fox hunter, whose spouse Barbara competes at Fourth Level. Richard always looks forward to coming to Finals each autumn. “The US Dressage Finals is a rewarding place for riders and horses at all levels to gather and compete to show off their hard work,” he says.
Richard has videoed over 1,800 clinic lessons and too many great riders to count. His “eye on the ground” has been honed to perfection, and with his team of professional videographers, he is ready to capture all the action and intricacies of every ride. In addition to Finals, Richard’s Equine Video is also the videographer of Dressage at Devon, the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival, the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships, and many other shows and clinics.
