After two very successful years of USDF’s Regional Schooling Show Awards program, we are happy to announce exciting new changes for 2022 that will encourage participation, streamline the process for those participating, and make qualifying for the rankings more attainable for those interested in the program.
The USDF Regional Schooling Show Awards were developed to provide recognition and an awards opportunity for USDF Group Members competing in non-USEF-licensed/non-USDF-recognized competitions. Through this program, four award divisions are recognized (junior/young rider, non-professional, adult amateur, and open).
The growing participation and warm reception, in spite of the negative outside influences that plagued our lives through the COVID-19 pandemic, made USDF take a second look at the program to expand its reach even further and increase already impressive participation numbers by both competitions and USDF Group Members.
The 2022 changes of note are:
SCORES
For 2022, the score requirements to be included in the national rankings have been changed for Introductory, Training through Fourth, and FEI Levels.
Introductory Level:

- From two different judges
- From two different competitions
Training through Fourth Levels (levels may not be combined to meet requirements):

- From two different judges
- From two different competitions
- At least one score must be earned from the highest test of the level
FEI Level (levels may be combined to meet requirements):
- Must have a minimum of three scores
- From two different judges
- From two different competitions

There are no membership requirements for the owner of the horse and no USDF non-member fee is required. USDF Group Membership is only required for the rider.
NOMINATION DEADLINE

SCORE SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Riders must submit scores through the USDF website, and they may be submitted at any time during the program year. The deadline to submit a score for the program year is December 21 (after the 11/30 end of the program year).
EVEN MORE EXCITEMENT
With these changes instituted, the buzz around the Regional Schooling Show Awards Program is building, promising for even larger participation numbers by both competitions and Group Members. Greater participation and new rules are sure to add to the already untempered excitement around the program and, as we emerge from the dark cloud of the pandemic, provide an opportunity for even more recognition of our valued Group Members.
More information and the nomination documents for yourself and your competition can be found on the Regional Schooling Show Awards Program page of the USDF website.
