With the generous support of program sponsor Big Dee’s Tack & Vet Supply, since its inception, the USDF Regional Adult Amateur Equitation Program is designed to recognize and reward excellence in equitation amongst our adult amateur competitors. The importance of equitation in all equestrian sports, but especially in the dressage arena, cannot be overlooked and must be a priority. This program helps to promote these fundamentals.
Qualifying for the culminating events of the program, the USDF Adult Amateur Regional Finals Classes, USDF Participating Members, with US Equestrian Adult Amateur designation on file, have the entire corresponding Great American/USDF Regional Championship qualifying period to qualify to participate.
HOW CAN I QUALIFY TO COMPETE IN ONE OF THE NINE ADULT AMATEUR REGIONAL FINALS CLASSES?
TWO WAYS TO QUALIFY
- Earn a 70% or higher in any Dressage Seat Equitation class, held during a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition during the corresponding qualifying period of your Great American/USDF Regional Championship Region on file with USDF.
- Qualify to compete in any Great American/USDF Regional Dressage Championship Class (excluding Freestyles)
WHAT IS THE QUALIFYING PERIOD FOR THE REGIONAL FINALS CLASSES?
The qualifying period for each of the nine AA Equitation Regional Finals Classes is the same as the qualifying period for the Great American/USDF Regional Championship with which it will be held in conjunction. For each competitor, this would be determined by the Great American/USDF Regional Championship Region on file with USDF.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE REGIONAL FINALS CLASSES HELD?
A USDF Adult Amateur Equitation Regional Finals Class is held in conjunction with each of the nine Great American/USDF Regional Dressage Championships.
