He came to me as a southern gentleman from South Carolina & made the long trek north to Calgary, Alberta, Canada as a 4 year old. We’ve done so much together – dressage, trail rides in the mountains, driving, & finally seem to have found our groove in Working Equitation (it seems we get bored easily). He is amazing, & I must say after owning many different breeds/mixes in my 50+ years of being around horses, the bond that I have with this boy is unlike any other that I’ve had with any other horse I’ve ever ridden. I call him my 1200lb Golden Retriever. They want so desperately to please their people – they are kind, brave, strong & have hearts that they would burst if it was asked of them by their person. I’m so glad I’m Toby’s person, & that we found each other!!
