All logo and artwork requests, USDF Arts Contest submissions/questions, YourDressage Photo of the Week submissions, ad insertion, and photo needs.

How long have you been with USDF?

Five years as of March 2024.

How did you get started at USDF?

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Murray State University. Before coming to USDF, I worked for the Kentucky Arts Council as their graphic designer for a decade. Right out of college, I worked as a freelance designer for my own company. I joined USDF as the Graphic Design Coordinator in 2019 after waiting for a job opening for several years.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I’m lucky to be able to combine my passion for art and horses for a living. I love reviewing all the stories that come into YourDressage from enthusiastic members, and I love seeing the creativity in the membership that shines through in the Arts Contest.

What is your favorite part of USDF?

I love experiencing the camaraderie of the members of our sport, and the sense of community the organization inspires – not just amongst the top riders, but the grassroots community too.

Share a little about yourself.

I started riding lessons when I was seven, breaking my dressage teeth on Polish Arabians in my teens. I now own an 18.1-hand Oldenburg, George, who is basically the world’s most expensive dog. He loves skittles, touching all the things with his tongue, barn kitties, getting his tail brushed, and small children. We are currently schooling First Level with a wonderful local trainer and have ambitions of getting our USDF Bronze Medal in the next few years.

When I’m not at the barn, I’m working on my various half-finished novels, elbows deep in the garden, busy being “The Cool Aunt” to my herd of nieces and nephews, experimenting with homemade jellies/tinctures/tea blends, trying to pet too many cats and dogs at the same time, or joining my archeologist husband on travel adventures.
