USDF Virtual Education Series

The USDF Virtual Education Series hosts education sessions with industry professionals over a variety of dressage and equine education topics. Members are eligible to sign up through the online submission form to receive the webinar link and access to the session. Each session is free to USDF members and is USDF University accredited. Members will receive 0.25 education credits upon verification of attendance. The webinar will start automatically through the provided link at the designated date and time. All times are listed in Eastern Time.

USDF Virtual Town Hall: US Dressage Finals

The USDF Virtual Town Hall Series was created to provide another platform in which members can ask questions of experts and voice their opinions through this new direct channel to the national organization. A variety of topics related to competition, education, awards, and many other areas of interest to our members will be covered over the course of the series, with each event featuring a panel of experts that will provide an introductory presentation on the topic, followed by the town hall question and answer portion, during which members can submit questions into a pool to be answered by the panel.

USDF Dressage Development Seminars
In-Person Event
Open to anyone seeking to gain knowledge, these seminars can be delivered via live event, either in a classroom setting or virtually. The first day will be geared toward a general audience and large group and features demonstration riders. An optional second day of the seminars are designed for a small group and feature a hands-on education experience for participants.
These seminars are focused on the core curriculum in riding/training, teaching and lunging.

The USDF FEI Youth Clinic Series is an educational opportunity for youth riders striving to compete at FEI levels. These clinics are taught by top U.S. riders including George Williams, Anne Gribbons, Lilo Fore and Sabine Schut-Kery.

These clinics introduce dedicated youth riders to the opportunities of the USDF youth pipeline for development in the sport. Youth may gain hands-on experience as a rider or build their knowledge base as an auditor.

Each year, USDF members from around the country come together to celebrate, network, and get involved in dressage. With the future of USDF and dressage in the US in the balance, these passionate and dedicated ambassadors of the sport spend a week each fall analyzing and debating the hottest topics in the sport, attending uniquely curated education sessions, connecting with longtime friends from around the country, and celebrating the best and brightest USDF and dressage have to offer!
L Education Program Sessions
In-Person Events
Developed by the USDF Judges’ Committee, the L Education Program teaches judges to evaluate the correct training of dressage horses. The Program is divided into two parts; each part is made up of three sessions:
Part 1 – “A Judge’s Perspective” is open to all USDF Members; this is the educational foundation of the program.
- Session A is an introduction to judging and biomechanics. View Video
- Session B is about judging criteria for gaits, movements, and figures. View Video
- Session C is about collective marks, equitation, rider biomechanics, and basics.
Silent auditors are allowed in the Part 1 sessions (A, B, and C). In order to receive access to the course material and online modules, you must be a “participant” in the L Education Program. Auditors will only receive an outline of the presentation.
