You Gotta Legatto

1
Legatto is such a gentle old soul, working with anyone from beginners to experienced riders. In September of 2019, Legatto and I started training at Fourth Level, a level I could never have dreamed of riding. Both Legatto and I loved the new challenges, and as such, signed up for our first sanctioned show at Fourth Level, in October, only a month into riding together.

Toby, The Strong

0
We found my older gelding, Toby, down in his stall. He was in obvious distress and pain, but still scrambled to his feet when I asked him to stand. Stacey had already administered banamine and my vet had been called, but Toby was still seriously struggling. He let me clip his lead rope to his halter and followed me, staggering, out of his stall.

A Day in the Life of Tempel Lipizzans

0
As the Lead Photographer for the Tempel Lipizzans, I am familiar with this view. May at Tempel Farms has always been time for our annual marketing shoot. I have loved this magical place since the first day I set foot here in June of 2013. I used to live a mere 20 minutes away and spent many hours and days here. This is where I first heard the word, “dressage”. This is where I learned how to properly photograph moving horses. Over the ensuing years, I have traveled with them, photographed the clinics they hosted, and was welcomed into the Tempel Farms fold.

Girls’ Trip

Getting to the North American Youth Championships (NAYC) was a dream come true for me, but it did not come without some turmoil. McKenzie Miller and I have been friends since we were about six years old. We met through horseback riding and we continue to compete in dressage together. Our goal was to try and make the NAYC team together, and because of the many shared laughs about our journey, we wanted to share our story.
