Submitted by Alana A. – Donoban -2008 Hanoverian by Desperados FRH x Rohdiamant. We imported him from Spain and 10 days later I showed him in the PSG in Wellington. My very first time doing the FEI levels. Hanoverians have always had a special place in my heart as I believe their temperament and personalities have been marked by intelligence and a willingness to perform …not to mention their beauty

Submitted by Cassie G. – I am so lucky to be working and riding on a farm that breeds these unbelievable horses. Ratzberna, the most incredible mare, is spending her retirement from show biz as my schoolmaster (and later, broodmare)! She is the sweetest, kindest thing, goofy at times but just has the best heart. Just the right kind of spicy. I love everything about her!
Submitted by Cassie G. 2 – Wicked Cute (Widmark x EM Emme/El Bundy), the unbelievable youngster that I have the pleasure of bringing along. For me, she’s one of those rare heart horses! We just click in the best way – she’s a little bit spicy and a little bit sweet, with loads of personality. Cutie was the Hartwig Award reserve for 2019, top mare at her inspection (a large one), and recently took me to my first show. She’s talented as can be with a fantastic mind, a perfect ambassador for the breed. Photo by KRae Photography.

Submitted by Don K. – This is the Elite Mare Rising Star MF, sired by Rotspon (Rubinstein I/Argentan/Pik Bube) and out of Ronya Darling (Ramiro’s Son II/Pik Koenig/Abhang III), with seven St.Pr. Mares in her pedigree. Thank you to Wendell and Maryanna Haymon for allowing us the stewardship of this mare. She had 12 foals, and her last six foals were all sired by Doctor Wendell MF: Debonair MF (approved stallion), Danae MF (Grand Champion at Dressage at Devon), Dionysis MF (approved stallion), Dancing Moon OBX (AHS Top Filly, Breeders Award for High Scoring American Bred at Dressage at Devon, MPT Winner, NY), Diplomate OBX (AHS Top Colt) and Diamond Skye OBX (AHS Top Filly). She consistently passed along her trainability, with three outstanding gaits, as well as her ‘user-friendly’ attitude. All are so pleasant to work with and to be around. A very special Hanoverian Mare. * The attached photo is EM Rising Star MF, showing in the 4 yr old and older mare class at Dressage at Devon, when she was 14 years old, nursing her 10th foal (Dancing Moon OBX) and pregnant with her 11th foal (Diplomat OBX). Blessed are the Broodmares.

Submitted by Jodi W. – Lucky me to own such a special horse! When I retired from teaching after 28 years, I bought Banderas RH – a Hanoverian with a mystery past – as my retirement gift! He had no paperwork, though he was branded. After talking with a representative of the American Hanoverian Society, I sent hair samples for DNA testing. Weeks later, I received a phone call from a very excited person from AHS. They had a match! Papers were available and issued to me! I was beyond excited. He was from River House Hanoverians, and was a grandson of Weltmeyer! I’m thoroughly enjoying riding, training, and competing this wonderful chestnut gelding. I owe many thanks to my friend and trainer Hilda Donahue for helping me find him. He’s truly a once in a lifetime horse.
