The second annual Salute Gala marked the official unveiling of the USDF capital campaign for the USDF National Education Center. On behalf of Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher, Kentucky Deputy Secretary of Commerce Derrick Ramsey welcomed USDF to its future home at the Kentucky Horse Park. The campaign’s key leaders joined Ramsey on stage for the ribbon-cutting ceremony signifying the kickoff of the campaign. Campaign national chairman Charles Smith (OH) owner of Rocher, USDF’s 2003 Grand Prix Horse of the Year, did the ribbon-cutting honors.
