Job title: Senior Marketing Coordinator
What is your main task in the office?
I wear many hats, but all of them revolve around our marketing initiatives, including sponsorships, running our social media channels, and serving as co-editor of YourDressage. I am also the staff liaison for the USDF Historical Recognition Committee. Every day is different, which means my job is never boring!

How long have you been with USDF?
Since May 2017.
How did you get started at USDF?
I started as the Marketing Department assistant, then moved to Marketing Coordinator, and now I’m in my current role as Senior Marketing Coordinator.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love covering events on social media. It’s fun to connect with our large audience of dressage lovers across the US. I also really like contributing articles for YourDressage and working with dressage enthusiasts to share their stories.
What is your favorite part of USDF?
The people. It’s great to be in an office filled with folks who genuinely care about horses and the sport of dressage.
Share a little about yourself.
I grew up in Indiana, and have always loved animals. I wasn’t lucky enough to grow up with horses, but they did come into my life toward the end of high school, where I spent many days hacking around through corn fields, down gravel roads, and through the woods where I lived. I graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and worked for several years for the Department of Defense. Not satisfied with a typical cubicle job, coupled with my desire to work with horses, I dropped everything and left at age 24.
I traveled around for a few years working in the horse industry, including working at Saratoga Race Course in New York, a riding stable in Massachusetts, and a Thoroughbred stud farm in Kentucky, while also pursuing a degree from University of Guelph in Equine Business Management. I’m passionate about Off-Track Thoroughbreds and for several years, I have volunteered and served on the Board of Directors for Indiana based non-profit Friends of Ferdinand Inc., which retrains and rehomes ex-racehorses.
In my free time I like to travel, write (currently working on my first novel!), and watch horseracing and NFL football.
