Members may call you concerning:

Mostly, I take calls regarding gift-giving options to USDF, especially for Circle of Friends and Finals Patrons.

How long have you been with USDF?

I started at USDF in July of 2018.

How did you get started?

I wanted a job that would give me an opportunity to grow and learn.

What is your favorite part of your job?

My job requires attention to detail and organization, which I happen to enjoy. I also love working on the Kentucky Horse Park grounds.

What is your favorite part of USDF?

I admire that USDF is always making the sport of dressage fun, interactive, and fresh. There are so many opportunities to grow and learn, as well as many goals to accomplish. From competing to judging, USDF provides all the resources one needs to succeed in the sport of dressage.

Share a little about yourself.

I was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. My mother’s love of animals, especially horses, stirred my interest as a young child. I quickly grew a passion for horses and their ability to not only learn, but also teach. I was hooked. My parents purchased my first horse when I was a freshman in high school, after I had worked hard to finish my Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) level lessons.

Aragorn is a big, handsome leopard Appaloosa cross gelding. He is a giant ham, loves attention, and has more personality than some people! He is a ‘dressage dropout,’ which I find ironic for many reasons. Aragorn and I connected immediately upon our first meeting, and we have been bonded ever since. Over the years, we have enjoyed Western riding, some English riding and jumping, and trail riding.

In August 2023, after a lot of praying and detailed planning, Aragorn made the long trip from California to Kentucky. Quite the trip for a 30+ year-old, and I’m enjoying every second I can with him! We love our casual bareback rides and Liberty training with the goal of entering some virtual Liberty competitions. Who says you can’t teach an old horse new tricks?! When I am not at the barn, I enjoy time with my two dogs and cat, as well as catching up with my family and friends.

Additional thoughts:

I moved to Kentucky in 2012 to attend Morehead State University’s Veterinary Technology Program and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology. I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for the state of Kentucky and hold two associate degrees in Animal Science and Agricultural Business.
