USDF offers a plethora of education and competition programs geared towards adult amateurs.

Adequan®/USDF Adult Amateur and Adult Amateur Musical Freestyle Awards

These annual year-end awards recognize adult amateurs, as defined by the United States Equestrian Federation, in standard and musical freestyle competition, throughout the levels.

USDF Regional Adult Amateur Equitation Program

This program recognizes adult amateurs competing in equitation while promoting correct seat, position, and use of the aids in dressage. Any adult amateur who earns a 70% or higher in any Dressage Seat Equitation class (except walk-trot), or who qualifies for Great American/USDF Regional Dressage Championships, is eligible to compete in the USDF Adult Amateur Equitation Regional Final.

USDF L Education Program

Participants and graduates of the USDF L Education Program can maintain their USEF Adult Amateur status, even if judging schooling shows. USDF L Graduates with Distinction can even move on to USEF judging programs without changing their USEF Adult Amateur status. (GR1206.3.i)

Participation and Auditing

Adult amateurs are eligible to participate in, audit, or apply to be a demo rider in the USDF Instructor Trainer Program and Workshops, as well as in the Adequan®/USDF FEI-Level Trainers Conferences.

USDF Regional Schooling Show Awards Program

As one of USDF’s newest programs, the USDF Regional Schooling Show Awards will offer regional recognition to USDF Group Members, competing in non-USEF-licensed/non-USDF-recognized competitions. Featuring Adult Amateur as one of the four award divisions, and seven recognized levels within the division (Introductory, Training, First, Second, Third, Fourth, and FEI), this program is perfect for the adult amateur competitor.
