Shoulder-in is introduced in Second Level Test 1, while half-pass is not introduced until Third Level Test 1. Stephen Clarke points out that shoulder-in and half-pass are similar in the bend. The exercise shown here starts in shoulder-in, the rider keeps the bend and moves onto the diagonal line creating the half-pass.
