The Adequan®/USDF All-Breeds Awards Program is designed to provide recognition of the accomplishments of specific breeds in dressage. Any horse that meets Adequan®/USDF Year-End Award criteria and has been declared by their owner or rider with a USDF All-Breeds Participating Organization (PO), is eligible to be ranked in said organizations standings within the program, provided they have also met any additional requirements set forth by the PO. Here we provide some helpful info for anyone interested in taking part in this amazing program that promotes dressage amongst the varying breeds and highlights each breed’s uniqueness in the dressage arena.
An Amazing Lineup
For the 2022 competition year, the Adequan®/USDF All-Breeds Awards Program features 68 total Participating Organizations. Of these 68, five are new for 2022:
Akhal-Teke Association of America
Dales Pony Breeders Association
New Forest Pony Society of North America – Ambassador Performance
United States Trotting Association
I DO DECLARE!
For any horse participating in the Adequan®/USDF All-Breeds Awards program, a declaration must be on file with USDF, naming the All-Breeds PO to which they are declaring. Once a declaration has been filed, it does not need to be renewed. A declaration, however, can be changed by submitting a new declaration form, along with appropriate fees and papers from the new PO.
The deadline to declare a horse for the 2022 USDF All-Breeds Awards is August 1, 2022.
Be in the Know with Your PO
As part of the Adequan®/USDF All-Breeds Awards program, POs have the option to offer awards in a variety of divisions and categories. Some POs have additional rules and requirements for horses participating in the program. It is the member’s responsibility to be aware of any PO-specific requirements and to make sure they are met. To help our members do this, the All-Breeds Participating Organizations page of the website provides information for each PO including contact, a list of declared horses, a list of recognized awards, etc.
Know Your Status
It is important for those competing for year-end awards (including all-breeds) to make sure they check their status and have all necessary requirements in place. Competitors, owners, and breeders can verify their membership status, as well as their horse’s declaration status by accessing the member dashboard, when logged in to the USDF website. For the horse, each PO has a List of Declared Horses link available in their listing on the website as well.
Score and USDF membership requirements for Adequan®/USDF All-Breeds Awards mirror those of the corresponding award division/category of the overall Adequan®/USDF Year-End Awards. Full rules and requirements can be found in the 2022 USDF Member Guide.
Throughout the year, competitors may also check their status within the specific awards by accessing the Adequan®/USDF All-Breeds Preliminary Awards Standings, available through the USDF website.
